Dr. Cara MacMullin, ND
A native of Cape Breton Island, Dr. Cara MacMullin ND, graduated from Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia with a Bachelor of Science Advanced Major in Biology. From here, she went on to complete the Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine program at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in 2006.
Dr. MacMullin has spent most of her 13 years of practice focusing on women’s health, hormone balance, and naturopathic support of fertility. She investigates all aspects that may be impacting fertility, including environmental exposures, oxidative status, hormone balance, immune function, stress, as well as the growing field of genetic influences on fertility. Using an evidence-based and integrative approach to patient care, Dr. MacMullin ND, is passionate about supporting patients on every level of their fertility journey.
In addition to fertility care, Dr. MacMullin has added experience in helping women through life’s transitions and accompanying hormone fluctuations including painful and irregular periods, PMS, and the metabolic, mood, and physical changes of peri-menopause and the menopausal transition.
She believes strongly in a patient-centered and integrative approach to health and wellbeing, working with patients to formulate their individualized plans as well as educating and empowering them to make healthier, lasting changes.
Dr. MacMullin is licensed and in good-standing with the College of Naturopaths of Ontario (CONO).
