Booking & Appointments

How do I book an appointment?
  • We have made booking an appointment quick and easy through our online system, located at https://conceive.janeapp.com/. Once you visit our booking site, simply select your location and service. You can then view our schedule and select an appointment time and day. You will be asked a few questions to set up an account and confirm your appointment.

From there, all required forms will be emailed to you. Please complete any forms prior to your 1st appointment. We look forward to meeting you!

How much is an appointment(s) with a fertility naturopath?
Where are your clinics located?
Do you offer online/phone appointments?
  • Yes! We offer virtual appointments for the convenience, health and safety of our patients. However, acupuncture sessions are conducted in person at our downtown, Lakeridge, Niagara and Waterloo locations.
How many visits will I have to do after my initial consultation?
  • The number of visits will depend on how complicated your case is, where you are at in the fertility process, and whether you are beginning an IUI or IVF cycle.
  • Your fertility naturopath will customize your treatment plan at your initial consultation appointment. In many cases, follow-up testing and changes to your plan could be indicated. We recommend starting as soon as you are thinking about trying to conceive.
Can I book an appointment if I’m not a patient at TRIO Fertility?
  • Yes, you do not have to be a TRIO Fertility patient. We see patients from a multitude of fertility clinics. You can also book an appointment if you are not currently working with a fertility clinic. We would be happy to support your fertility journey with preconception care.

Pre & Post Embryo Transfers

How do I know when to book my pre & post acupuncture if I’m doing an embryo transfer?
  • We know that your transfer time will not be set until the day before. We ask patients to kindly let us know that they would like to book pre/post as soon as possible once they know the planned date for the embryo transfer.

You can do that by calling or emailing us with your transfer date. We will then hold a spot for you in the schedule for that day. When your transfer time is confirmed the day before, we will coordinate the time with the operating room and contact you to let you know your exact acupuncture schedule.

Right now we don’t offer the option to book pre/post appointments online.

I know my transfer date, what should I do to book?
  • Transfer day is stressful enough — let us handle your acupuncture schedule for you. Please let us know as soon as you know your transfer date and we will take care of the rest.

Your tentative appointments will be confirmed, and then when your transfer time is set the day before the transfer, we will confirm the appointment times with you.

We appreciate a minimum of 24 hours notice and can’t guarantee short notice appointments.

Email us with the following information:

    • Name
    • Date of Birth
    • TRIO Physician
    • Expected transfer date
    • Have you had acupuncture before?
    • Are you currently a Conceive patient?

We will get back to you shortly to confirm an appointment.

Preconception & Acupuncture

What exactly do you do to help me have a baby?
  • Conceive Health specializes in preconception care —  optimizing egg and sperm and quality to improve your fertility treatment outcomes. This can be applicable for fertility treatment like IVF, IUI, Frozen Embryo Transfer (FET), endometrial support (ie. thin lining) or even just natural fertility support. Having healthy eggs and sperm has been shown to support the health of your future baby, improve the odds of getting pregnant and reduce miscarriage rates.
How can fertility acupuncture help?
  • Acupuncture is a helpful addition to any fertility plan. It can aid the regulation of natural cycles and ovulation, as well as IUI and IVF/FET cycles by supporting follicular growth and endometrial receptivity.

Acupuncture also helps to balance hormones and control excess stress (cortisol) levels. For more info on how acupuncture can support your cycle visit https://conceivehealth.com/fertility-acupuncture/

When is IVF acupuncture performed?
  • If you are not undergoing an IVF cycle yet, it’s generally once a week. If you are in IVF treatment or a medicated and/or monitored cycle, then we recommend receiving acupuncture treatments from your Conceive Health naturopath or acupuncturist twice per week. If you are unsure about your timing, simply book your acupuncture appointment when you are calling in to report your Day 1.

Supplements

Can I get recommendations for supplements without an appointment?
  • We offer and carry a specialized fertility dispensary, exclusively for patients of Conceive Health, TRIO Fertility and the affiliated clinics. Our professional line of natural health care products must be prescribed by a naturopathic doctor or a medical doctor.

We highly recommend booking a consultation to ensure the correct use of the product and avoid interactions with other supplements or medications that you may be taking. Your conceive Health naturopath will also inform your dosing schedule and instructions.

What if I have questions about fertility supplements?
  • If you have questions regarding supplements, dosing schedule or your prescription, please book an appointment. All answers are individualized based on your treatment plan and can not be answered over email or phone by our administrative team. Prescriptions can not be changed or recommended over email.
